Hello, My name is Alishia, and I am the owner of Seaside Massage and Spa. I was inspired to begin practicing massage because I truly believe in the healing capabilities that massage has to offer. My path led me to becoming a LMT when I was injured in a car accident. I had been left with residual chronic pain, numbness, and headaches. I had no "real" answers at 25 years old. I just wanted to get back to normal without the use of medications that left me feeling unmotivated and nauseated most of the time. I was introduced to massage by a friend away at a wellness retreat. I was suffering from a headache and she offered to massage my head, neck, and shoulders. Within minutes I could feel immense relief. My life was forever changed, my love of Massage Therapy was born. I decided shortly thereafter to enroll at East West College of the Healing Arts. Then I spent the next 18 months devoted to the study of massage theory and graduated with honors. Massage can change your life, it changed mine.
